PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Reviews Venue Upgradation Plans with NESPAK Officials

In a proactive move towards enhancing Pakistan’s cricket infrastructure, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi convened a crucial meeting with officials from NESPAK (National Engineering Services of Pakistan) to discuss the upgradation plans for three major cricket venues in the country. The meeting, held in Lahore, saw the presence of PCB’s COO Salman Naseer, Director Infrastructure Nasir Hameed, and NESPAK’s General Manager, among others.

During the meeting, comprehensive presentations were made, outlining the initial designs for the immediate upgradation of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Bank Stadium in Karachi, and Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi. Chairman Naqvi, along with other officials, meticulously reviewed the proposed plans, focusing on key aspects such as enhancing the fan experience and renovating hospitality boxes across all three venues.

Expressing his vision for the stadium upgradation, Chairman Naqvi emphasized the paramount importance of ensuring an optimal viewing experience for spectators from every seat in the stadium. Additionally, he underscored the significance of modernizing the hospitality facilities to meet international standards and cater to the needs of stakeholders.

With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on the horizon, Chairman Naqvi urged NESPAK officials to expedite the finalization of the upgradation plans and commence work on the stadiums without delay. Given the tight timeline before the prestigious tournament, swift and efficient execution of the upgradation projects is imperative to ensure that the venues are ready to host international fixtures of the highest caliber.
