PCB sacked Basit Ali from his duties in regard to the Women’s Team and Junior Teams

The Chairman PCB, Sheharyar Khan, has sacked Basit Ali from the post of Head Coach Women’s Team and Junior Teams’ selection committee.

Sheharyar Khan’s decision came as the conclusion of separate meetings he had with Basit Ali and Mahmood Hamid in Karachi following an alleged fight between the two. Although the two had reconciled, Basit Ali admitted to an intent to physically harm Mahmood Hamid.

The Chairman has withdrawn Basit Ali from the currently sensitive assignments with the women’s and junior teams.

This is pertinent to mention that there would be no general ban on Basit Ali’s future coaching assignments with PCB or other teams, as per PCB Chairman.
