PCB Seals Hosting Rights for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) secured the hosting rights for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after signing the agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) at the ICC headquarters in Dubai on Friday.

In a significant move for Pakistan cricket, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Mr. Zaka Ashraf, led the delegation and was accompanied by ICC General Counsel Jonathan Hall during the official signing ceremony marking Pakistan’s triumphant bid to host the prestigious ICC tournament.

Asserting Pakistan’s readiness to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participating teams, the PCB has proactively communicated its commitment to provide robust security measures. This proactive step aimed to ensure the safety and comfort of visiting international teams during the ICC Champions Trophy.

Notably, the PCB authorities have already apprised the government about the imperative need for foolproof security arrangements for the visiting teams. In a recent meeting between Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Chairman PCB Management Committee, the assurance of full cooperation from the security agencies was affirmed. This cooperation is seen as a vital aspect in the successful hosting of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The acquisition of hosting rights signifies a pivotal moment for Pakistan cricket, marking the country’s resurgence in hosting major international cricket events and further cementing its status as a preferred cricketing destination. The upcoming ICC Champions Trophy is anticipated to showcase Pakistan’s hospitality, passion for cricket, and organizational prowess on a global stage.
