Peshawar U19 Clinches National U19 Championship Title in Thrilling Victory Over Karachi Whites U19

Peshawar U19 emerged triumphant in a nail-biting encounter, securing the National U19 Championship title with a one-wicket win against Karachi Whites U19 at the Rana Naved ul Hasan Cricket Academy. In a gripping four-day final, Peshawar U19 showcased resilience and determination during their pursuit of the 278-run target.

Karachi Whites U19, resuming their innings on the final day at 88-5, added 76 runs before being bowled out for 164. Ali Hassan’s solid knock of 46 and Mohammad Fahad Amin’s contribution of 38 were the standout performances. Mohammad Shoaib Afridi’s four-wicket haul, supported by Mohammad Irfan and Jawad Ali, restricted Karachi Whites U19 to set the stage for Peshawar U19’s chase.

Facing the challenging target, Peshawar U19’s Afkar Durani (75), Najab Khan (41), and Ahmad Hussain (44) led the charge. Despite losing wickets in succession, Peshawar U19 managed to secure victory with just one wicket to spare in the 55th over. Naveed Ahmed Khan and Syed Tayyab Hussain took two wickets each for Karachi Whites U19.

Najab Khan, who scored a crucial 96 in the first innings and 41 in the second innings, was named the Player of the Final. Karachi Whites U19 captain Saad Baig received multiple accolades, including Best Wicket-Keeper, Best Batter, and Player of the Tournament, recognizing his remarkable season tally of 750 runs and 27 dismissals.

Additionally, Karachi Whites off-spinner Naveed Ahmed Khan was awarded the Best Bowler of the Tournament for his impressive performance, having claimed 40 wickets throughout the season.
