President’s Cup 2024 to Begin on 3 October, Nine Teams Set to Compete

The 50-over President’s Cup 2024 will kick off on 3 October, with nine departmental cricket teams competing across five cities. The tournament will culminate with two semi-finals on 13 and 14 October, followed by the final on 16 October.

All matches will be day games, starting at 9:30 am. The venues and exact timings for the semi-finals and final will be announced later.

The tournament offers a prize pool of PKR7.75 million, with the champions set to receive PKR5 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR2.5 million.

Group A consists of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). Group B includes Eshaal Associates, Ghani Glass, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan Television (PTV), and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Defending champions SNGPL will begin their campaign against Ghani Glass on 3 October at Saeed Sports City Bedian, Lahore. Group A matches will be held in Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, while Group B matches will take place in Faisalabad and Lahore.

Group A: HEC, KRL, SBP, WAPDA
Group B: Eshaal Associates, Ghani Glass, OGDCL, PTV, SNGPL
