President’s Trophy Grade-I round 9 – OGDCL, SNGPL, and SNGPL Secure Wins

The ninth and final round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I concluded with OGDCL defeating Higher Education Commission by 110 runs, SNGPL beating Eshaal Associates by 7 wickets, and SBP’s match against KRL ending in a draw.

At the UBL Sports Complex, SNGPL achieved the target of 108 runs set by Eshaal Associates, losing only 3 wickets. Abid Ali, who scored an unbeaten double century in the first innings, remained not out at 49. Earlier, Eshaal Associates scored 306 runs in their second innings, with Danish Aziz scoring 92 runs and Muhammad Haris adding 55.

At the State Bank Stadium, Higher Education Commission failed to reach the target of 395 runs set by OGDCL, scoring 284 runs in their second innings. Ali Taj, Ali Hamza, and Muhammad Mohsin Khan scored 58, 60, and 53 runs, respectively. Mustaqeem Khalid took 5 wickets for 88 runs.

The KRL vs. State Bank match at the KCCA Stadium ended in a draw, with KRL scoring 384 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their second innings. Umar Zafar scored an unbeaten 113 runs, while Imran Rafiq added an unbeaten 100. The pair shared an unbroken partnership of 222 runs for the fourth wicket.

The five-day final of the President’s Trophy will be played between PTV and State Bank at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium starting from March 4.
