1. Based on true story
First and foremost reason to watch Swaarangi is the fact that this film is based on a story which is inspired by real incidents. According to the director Fida Hussain and the producer Mazhar Abbas, it is about some real stories around us with strong appeal yet they remain unnoticed.
2. The real Mianwali and Kalabagh
The film has been shot on locations near Mianwali and Kalabagh, to make the movie appear as real as possible. Yeah real Mianwali not the one that is part of Lahore as per one famous Bollywood flick from 2012.
3. Meant for mature audience
Swaarangi is a parallel cinema film and it is meant for mature audiences. In itself Swaarang is important film as it is a milestone for Pakistani cinema where from usual ‘Romantic Comedies’ and actions films Pakistani cinema have jumped into high quality content based films.
4. Comeback film of Resham
Another important point which makes this film worth watching is return of the actress Resham to big screen, after a gap of over seven years. Resham is one of the most celebrated actresses of Pakistani cinema from 1990s. She has acted in a number of Syed Noor movies, which were box office hits as well as were critically acclaimed. Resham is known for her great depictions of various roles throughout her entire career. Looking at her deglamourized role, it seems that the film has a lot more to offer.

5. The music of Swaarngi and Ayub Khosa
Ayub Khosa is another magnetism in the movie. He is playing a negative role in Swaarngi. His presence in a movie means it will offer some worth watching substance and acting. Music of the Swaarnagi is also an important feature. Songs by singing sensation Asrar are good in every aspect. Rooh Pighley is making rounds among the music lovers on social media.
6. Social issues need to be highlighted not be banned
The film faced a controversy as it was banned by the government over a few scenes regarding drug addiction. In my own humble opinion if there is a social issue prevailing in the socieyu it needs to be addressed. Moreover, putting ban on the mediums highlighting such social evils and bringing them to light must be appreciated, putting ban on them can never be the solution.

One reason to watch this film is to support the idea that government must ban the social evil have strict policy against them and eradicated such social evils rather than putting ban on films or other mediums of mass awareness.
