Starring old-timer and gorgeous Zaib Rehman, Mannat is going on air on Geo TV from today (Sunday 20th November 2016). This seiral marks ome back of Zaib Rehman on TV after a quarter of a century.
Mannat is written by Kishor Asmal and directed by Amin Iqbal, the cast of drama seral includes Rabab Hashim, Sami Khan, Zaib Rehman, Uzma Hassan, Kashif Mehmood, Iffat Umer, Zoya Khan, Khalid Saleem Butt, Zainab Qayoom and many others.
Mannat is the story of a girl who belongs to a lower middle-class family and is raised by her uncle. Her uncle gets her to a well off family to the only male in that family – as rest of the family comprises of widows only.
The orphan girl who is already in love with someone is now married to a man with a curse. The curse comes as a shock for Mannat on the wedding day.
This curse is that all the men of the family die as soon they turn twenty-seven. Mannat’s husband is 25 years old. The family get him married before he turns twenty-five, so that the birth of his son can save the family name.
Mannat is expected to give birth to a son and being the only educated woman in the family, she has to deal with illiterate women of the house.
She also to convince her husband that it’s just a myth, and this kind of curse doesn’t exist. However, a major plot twist comes into play when Mannat is unable to give birth and her husband is about to turn twenty seven.
