The first-ever trophy tour in the history of PSL is set to commence today from Hyderabad and Karachi, marking a historic milestone for the league, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced. The Luminara Trophy will journey across 11 cities in Pakistan until March 29, ahead of the highly anticipated 10th edition of PSL.
The tournament, scheduled from April 11 to May 18, will take place in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. However, the trophy tour aims to expand the league’s reach beyond these host cities, bringing the coveted silverware closer to fans nationwide.
During the first leg, the Luminara Trophy will be displayed at various locations in Hyderabad and Karachi until March 15, before traveling to Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Islamabad. The second leg of the tour will be announced later.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer highlighted the significance of the tour, stating:
“The PSL trophy tour is a celebration of Pakistan’s rich culture, its diverse communities, and most importantly, its deep-rooted passion for cricket. The tour aims to increase the physical reach of PSL throughout Pakistan. In the first leg, the trophy will be displayed from the vibrant streets of Karachi to the historic locations of Lahore and will also showcase the breathtaking landscapes of Pakistan.”
He added that the initiative is a tribute to the unwavering support of PSL fans, who have played a crucial role in the league’s success over the past decade.
