PTV on Verge of Victory in President’s Trophy Final

PTV is on the brink of winning the President’s Trophy Grade-One final against State Bank, needing just 84 more runs to chase down a target of 153 with 9 wickets in hand.

At the end of the third day’s play, PTV had reached 69/1, with Shamil Hussain unbeaten on 44. Imam-ul-Haq was the only wicket to fall, dismissed for 21.

Earlier, State Bank was bowled out for 264 in their second innings, thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by PTV’s captain, Imad Butt, who took 5 wickets for 84 runs.

State Bank’s batting lineup failed to deliver, with Rameez Aziz top-scoring with 47. Saud Shakeel and Imran Butt contributed 45 and 42, respectively.

PTV’s bowlers were on top throughout, with Amad Butt leading the charge. Muhammad Ibtisam and Ali Usman took two wickets each.

With just 84 runs needed to win, PTV is firmly in the driver’s seat, and it’s likely to be a mere formality when play resumes on the fourth day.
