Qayamat Episode 12 & 13 Review: A Delightful Combination Of Powerful Emotions

7th Sky Entertainment yet again delivers a blockbuster drama named ‘Qayamat’ with a strong message, powerful cast, along with convincing flavors of emotions and social issues with authenticity. The drama serial has struck a chord with avid drama viewers. Qayamat at the core, banks heavily on its script, execution, and direction value. No wonder it possesses terrific mass appeal that has set the TRP calculators on fire. We’d like to give brownie points to Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi for giving us a weekly double dose of entertainment. Episode twelve and thirteen aired this week and had ample masala to keep us hooked. Let’s review:

Episode 12 begins with Nadra (Zainab Qayyum) and Nargis (Saba Faisal) who aren’t happy with the decision of Jawad (Haroon Shahid) getting married to Irfah (Neelam Muneer). Nargis at any cost doesn’t want Ifrah to be her daughter in law but she is helpless as she can’t challenge the decision of her husband, Mukhtar (Shabbir Jan). An angry Nargis plans to seek revenge, as a result, Samrah (Amar Khan) faces the heat. Nargis asks Samrah to take charge of the household chores, despite having several servants in the house. We next see a montage where she is doing all kinds of work, not to forget, she is expecting her first child too. Rashid (Ahsan Khan) on the other hand continues his long list of complains about Samrah for not being a good wife.

The highlight of the episode was the moment when Ifrah pays a visit to her sister’s house and watches her working as a servant. Adding fuel to the fire was the moment when she witnesses the rude behavior of Nargis towards Samrah. Ifrah confronts Nargis and puts her into place, the latter attempts to slap Ifrah but fails to do so. Jawad intervenes in the situation and guarantees Ifrah that such a thing won’t happen again. The narrative moves forward with some lovable moments between Jawad and Ifrah. Ahsan Khan comes into action as he gets into a spat with Pari’s (Sana Fakhar) new boyfriend. Samrah is well aware of Rashid’s affair with Pari; she threatens him to leave her or else she will take this matter to her father-in-law Mukhtar. Resultantly she yet again becomes a victim of domestic abuse.

In episode 13, Jawad and Ifrah return home from shopping; she is surprised to see a wound on Samrah’s forehead. She inquires Rashid about it but gets badly treated. Ifrah is now worried to see this tense situation as she will soon be a part of this family. Samrah tells her that her future husband Jawad is loving and caring so it will be easier for her to adjust. Meanwhile, Pari’s new boyfriend takes a backseat and flies to Bangkok without informing her. He further tells her that his father has got to know about their secret relationship. Things get worrisome for Pari as it gets difficult for her to manage her household expenses. Her mother advises her to contact Rashid and seek help. In the next sequence, Rashid shockingly shows a bit of care and affection towards Samrah only because of his child. The episode ends on an intriguing note when Pari calls Rashid.

This week’s episodes continued to captivate the viewers. In a nutshell, it’s impossible to miss out on ‘Qayamat’. Based on the teasers for the next episode, Samrah will suffer a miscarriage. Will she survive or die? There’s a lot to unpack in a story that leaves the viewers on their toes, wondering what will be the fate of the lead characters.
