Qayamat Episode 2: A Twist in a Love Story

It’s very rarely these days that dramas like Qayamat grace your TV screens. Thanks to ace duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi who present us some very touchy topics in a very acceptable way – topics that normally considered as taboo in our society and people generally distinct them as exclusions to talk about.

Qayamat is one such story that is not only relatable but also prevailed in our society. It’s the story about love/hate, harassment, domestic violence and sacrifices in the name of saving parents reputation in our esteemed society. Where “Log kya kahenge” is a big question mark for our middle class before doing anything and where every sin can be forgotten if done by someone with power. However the story portrays women to be empowered and learn to take stand for themselves.

Qayamat has a promising cast including Ahsan Khan, Neelam Munir, Amar Khan, Haroon Shahid, Shabbir Jan, Noor ul Hassan, Saba Faisal, Kinza Malik and Haris Waheed. While Samra Played by Amar Khan is shy and hesitant yet carries herself with grace. Ahsan Khan can be seen as a spoiled brat with lack of education and lots of money who not only think violence as his birth right but can goes to extremes for his benefit.

The current episode of Qayamat is a mix of sweet moments about sisterhood and a beautiful portrayal of a budding love story. Where both sisters attend a friend’s wedding and friend’s brother Saad has a liking for Samra who is very shy to reciprocate her feelings. Rashid who dreamt of becoming a filmy hero has become suspicious in his father’s eyes after his proposal was down by a family.

Saad’s proposal came for Samra and both the sisters and their parents become euphoric at such a suitable proposal. The twist of the story came when Samra’s farther went to Rashid’s father who is elder brother to him for sharing the happy news. Rashid’s father claims that Samra can only get married to Rashid as per their late father’s wish.
