In a significant development, Quetta Gladiators and DHA Quetta have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cricket in Balochistan. The signing ceremony was attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Safaraz Bugti, provincial ministers, and national cricketers.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to providing opportunities for youth in sports and healthy activities. He highlighted the government’s efforts to promote sports in the province, including the launch of a comprehensive sports calendar and the development of a youth policy.
Bugti also stressed the importance of providing opportunities for Balochistan’s cricketers to participate in national-level teams. He requested that Quetta’s players be included in national teams to enable them to showcase their talent.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of DHA Quetta and Quetta Gladiators in promoting cricket in the province. He assured that the provincial government would support DHA Quetta in its endeavors to promote sports.
The ceremony was also addressed by Administrator DHA Quetta Brigadier Azhar Minhas and Quetta Gladiators’ owner Nadeem Omar. They emphasized their commitment to nurturing the talent of Balochistan’s cricketers and providing them with opportunities to participate in national-level competitions.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by provincial ministers, parliamentary secretaries, members of the provincial assembly, Quetta Gladiators’ manager Azam Khan, head coach Moin Khan, and national cricketers Abrar Ahmed and Haseebullah.
