Meanwhile, at the Sheikh Khalifa Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan, Hyderabad faced a similar fate, being dismissed for 190 runs in 87.2 overs. Islamabad, in their second innings, displayed resilience, accumulating a total of 235 for seven wickets in 54 overs.
Quetta v Abbottabad:
In a thrilling encounter, Quetta came out on top against Abbottabad with a six-wicket victory at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
On the third day, Abbottabad resumed their second innings at just 15 for 1 in four overs. However, they struggled to cope with Quetta’s bowling attack, eventually being bowled out for a mere 106 runs in 43.3 overs. Gohar Faiz was the star performer for Quetta, taking six crucial wickets, while Jalat Khan contributed with three wickets. Only Afaq Khan (30) and Mohammad Ibrahim (22) made notable contributions with the bat for Abbottabad.
Chasing a target of 78 runs in their final innings, Quetta succeeded in their mission. Mohammad Ibrahim played a significant role in achieving the target with a blistering knock of 46 runs from just 41 balls, including seven boundaries and one six. Quetta reached the target in 16.5 overs, winning by six wickets. Adil Naz was the most successful bowler for Abbottabad, claiming three wickets.
Islamabad v Hyderabad:
At the Sheikh Khalifa Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan, Hyderabad continued their innings on the third day, starting at 112 for 4 in 54 overs.
Hyderabad managed to score 190 runs in 87.2 overs before being dismissed. Rizwan Mehmood was the top scorer for Hyderabad with 43 runs, while Daniyal Hussain Rajput contributed 32 runs. Shayan Sheikh was the standout bowler for Islamabad, taking seven wickets in the innings.
In their second innings, Islamabad maintained their momentum with the bat, accumulating 235 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 54 overs. Hassan Nawaz was the star for Islamabad, amassing 92 runs. Ali Imran added 34 runs, including two boundaries and three sixes. Jawad Ali claimed three wickets for Hyderabad, while Asad Malik took two.
