The day commenced with Quetta resuming their innings at 26-1 in 10 overs at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Key contributors for Islamabad included Farmanullah Khan, who compiled 72 runs from 270 deliveries, and Mohammad Hammad, who contributed 71 runs from 163 balls, with nine boundaries and a maximum. The supporting role was played by Hassan Nawaz (43) and Rohail Nazir (40).

For Hyderabad, Jawad Ali stood out, claiming a five-wicket haul, while Majid Asghar grabbed three crucial wickets.

In response, Hyderabad faced a formidable Islamabad bowling attack and managed to score 112 runs in 54 overs, losing four wickets in the process. Rizwan Mehmood top-scored with an unbeaten 28, while Ali Ahsan and Mohammad Suleman both added valuable 20s.

Islamabad’s Shayan Sheikh and Mohammad Hammad took two wickets each to keep the Hyderabad batsmen in check.
