Rain-Interrupted First Four-Day Match Between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh ‘A’ Ends in a Draw

The first four-day match between Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh ‘A’ ended in a draw at the Islamabad Club, with rain playing a major role in disrupting play. The match, which resumed on the fourth day at 2:00 PM PKT after being heavily delayed by rain, saw a total of 39.2 overs bowled before bad light brought an early end to the contest.

Pakistan Shaheens had declared their first innings at the overnight score of 367 for 4, holding a strong 245-run lead over the visitors. The declaration came after a dominant batting display led by Umar Amin, who scored a majestic 177, earning him the Player of the Match award.

Bangladesh ‘A’, in their second innings, managed to reach 153 for 5 before play was halted. The visitors were led by Nayeem Hasan, who top-scored with a well-compiled 55 off 69 balls, including 11 boundaries. Zakir Hasan also made a useful contribution with 33 runs from 45 deliveries.

For Pakistan Shaheens, fast bowlers Mir Hamza and Mohammad Ali were the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets each, while Mohammad Rameez Jnr chipped in with one wicket.
