Apnay Hee Tou Hain continues to impress with its thought-provoking narrative. The drama serial showcases the difference in ideologies between Gen Z and senior citizens. Learning has nothing to do with age and one can upgrade with the latest trends and technology. The protagonist of Apnay Hee Tou Hain Kabir aka Khaled Anam breaks the old school shackles to get rid of loneliness. His life changes for the good when he meets an old friend. Will life give him another chance to settle down or things be the other way round? Let’s discuss.
Kabir (Khaled Anam) and Zain (Zuhab Khan) invite Nafeesa (Gul-e-Rana) and Silla (Raham Rafiq) for lunch. Zain is surprised to see Silla’s sarcasm towards him. She frequently taunts him for his rude behavior towards Kabir. Zain is shocked and separately confronts his grandfather about telling her the reality. Later on, the young fellows sort things out and plan to make Kabir and Nafeesa happy.
Zain invites them to his grandfather’s birthday party. Kabir wouldn’t have thought that he would get the biggest shock of his life as he gets introduced to Nafeesa’s husband Iqbal. Adding more to the horror was phuppo Jan, Naila, who goes all out and asks Nafessa about her husband being alive. Kabir is angry, he cuts the cake and doesn’t even take a group photo. Silla intervenes in between and makes things happen.
As the story progresses, Shahid (Sohail Sameer) and Kabir get into a heated argument. The former accuses the latter of being involved with Nafeesa and being ignorant towards his family matters. Shahid tells her about her daughter Aleena on the verge of getting divorced. He gives an ultimatum that he will soon leave the house. Kabir and Zain indulge in a heartwarming conversation and together they talk to Shahid and clear the matter.
Zain invites Silla over lunch to thank her for being a great support in resolving the dispute between Shahid and Kabir. Faiza (Maira Khan) is upset as Aleena talks rudely to her. Kabir doesn’t share her matters with her, resultantly she misbehaves with Naila. Faiza feels as if she’s an outsider. Shahid calms her down and she realizes her mistake. The episode ends on an intense note when Nafeesa clears her position with Iqbal and calls Kabir for a meet-up.
Talking of performances, Khalid Anam continues his top form. He is super convincing as the senior citizen fighting with his insecurities and loneliness of life. Gul-e-Rana is super dependable. Sohail Sameer does well as the obedient son. Maira Khan is fantastic and delivers a controlled performance. Raham Rafiq is a breath of fresh air. With the entry of Iqbal, will Kabir and Nafeesa manage to be friends? Apnay Hee Tou Hain airs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at 7 p.m. on Green Entertainment.
