Heer Maan Ja – Hareem Farooq has us in fits with her one-liners

Heer Maan Ja is one of the Eid ul Azha releases and it was a highly marketed one, one community member of our sister publication, Support Pakistani Cinema, Anma Saleem got chance to watch the film and here is her review:

So I was lucky enough to watch Heer Maan Ja, on its first Eid shows, and i say, advance booking does helps if you are a family.

The film starts with a suspense sequence and explains the origin of the protagonist. The role is played flawlessly by Ali Rehman Khan. Talking about the other lead actress Hareem Farooq, she also has us in fits due to her puns and one-liners. The Supporting duo of Jerry and Ramzi has makes our laughing bones tickle constantly. Saleem Mairaj also has an appearance in the film and shows you his class of humor, although his presence was limited.

I was amazed by the surprise appearance of Amina Sheikh. Her role in the film is so empowering around others and adds to the gags of the film.

Also, films Music has all the flavors of Pakistani cinema, with a love anthem, A sad song, A shadi dance number and lastly the party anthem.

‘Chan Mahi’ is a musical treat from Heer Maan Ja

Heer Maan Ja’s ‘Kuch To Hua Hai’ is a perfect romantic number

Upbeat, catchy and peppy – title track of Heer Maan Ja released

Zara Sheikh’s comeback with Addi Maar will make you put dancing shoes on!

Considering all the film was exclusively shot in Pakistan, it seems like a massive win for Pakistani cinema.

P.S. A culture appropriate films are true representation of Pakistani Cinema.
