Rising from Layyah to Lahore: Jalat Khan’s Amazing Transformation into a Qalandars Squad Member

Hailing from Fatehpur city in Layyah district, young fast bowler Jalat Khan aims to follow in the footsteps of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rouf. Despite humble beginnings as a laborer’s son, Jalat’s love for cricket led him to the Lahore Qalandars High Performance Center.

Jalat Khan, who traveled the country playing tape cricket, recounts a day when he played in Multan where a friend informed him that Lahore Qalandars’ trials were ongoing. He made the decision to try out and with his impressive performance, he was selected to join the Lahore Qalandars High Performance Center.

Jalat is eagerly looking forward to making a major contribution in PSL 8. He is fully focused and in the midst of preparing for the league. He believes that PSL is a big league and it’s an excellent opportunity for him to fulfill his dreams.

The young fast bowler has stated that he considers Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan and Mitchell Starc of Australia as his ideals, but his passion for cricket was sparked by watching the former captain, Shahid Afridi.

Jalat Khan mentioned that during his first encounter with Shaheen Shah Afridi, he received valuable advice on bowling. Shaheen Afridi instructed him on how to swing the ball against the wind, a technique that has stayed with him to this day.
