Saad Baig to Lead Pakistan U19 Squad in ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023

The Pakistan U19 squad for the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023, slated to unfold in Dubai, has been officially announced. Under the leadership of Saad Baig, the youthful team aims to make its mark in the eight-team tournament, set to transpire from 8th to 17th December.

Guided by the junior selection committee led by Sohail Tanvir, the 15-member squad has been finalized for this prestigious championship, encompassing talents from across Pakistan.

Saad Baig, who previously led the Pakistan U19 team during the home series against Sri Lanka and the tour to Bangladesh earlier this year, retains his captaincy for the tournament, showcasing the trust and confidence vested in his leadership abilities.

Placed in Group A, Pakistan U19 will navigate the tournament terrain alongside Afghanistan U19, India U19, and Nepal U19. The team will commence their campaign against Nepal on 8 December, followed by clashes against India and Afghanistan on 10th and 12th December, respectively.

Before the squad’s selection, the Pakistan U19 hopefuls diligently honed their skills at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi during an extensive training camp commencing from 24th November. The 15-member squad is scheduled to depart for Dubai on 6 December to intensify their preparations for the tournament.
