Sadia Iqbal Shines as ICC Names Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2024

Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal has earned a spot in the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2024, solidifying her reputation as one of the finest bowlers in the format. With 30 wickets in 19 matches, including a career-best 4/16 against Sri Lanka, Sadia’s performances have been pivotal in elevating Pakistan’s T20I campaign. Her consistency has placed her second in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings, making her one of the standout stars of the year.

Sadia joins an elite group of cricketers, including South African captain Laura Wolvaardt, Indian star Smriti Mandhana, and Sri Lankan powerhouse Chamari Athapaththu, who have all had remarkable years on the international stage.
