Lahore’s prominent national news channel, GNN, has welcomed a rising news anchor, Sadia Sarwar, to their esteemed team. Having previously been an integral part of Suno News, where she marked her debut as a national TV channel news anchor and was also part of its maiden transmission, Sadia brings a fresh perspective and experience to her new role at GNN.
In an exclusive conversation with MediaSpring PK, Sadia Sarwar shared her excitement about this new chapter in her career. Reflecting on her initial days at GNN, she expressed, “So far, the experience has been exceptional. Joining GNN represents a significant step forward for me in terms of growth and embracing new challenges. I see this as an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills I’ve acquired from my past roles while also learning and gaining valuable experience. There are many experienced seniors here at GNN whom I greatly admire and look up to.”
Originally born in Saudi Arabia, Sadia Sarwar relocated to Lahore with her family to pursue her education. She holds an MPhil in Mass Communications from the esteemed Lahore College for Women University (LCWU). Her career journey commenced in 2018 as a reporter trainee at Dunya TV’s regional news channel, Lahore News HD.
Her professional trajectory includes a significant stint at City News Network, where she made her debut as a news anchor and served for nearly two years at Mohsin Naqvi Group. As a news anchor, Sadia Sarwar was integral to news teams at City42, City41, and City21.
Transitioning to the Neo TV network in 2022, she joined Lahore Rang as a news anchor. After an eight-month tenure, Sadia ventured into Suno TV, marking her first stint with a national news channel. With over a year’s experience at Suno TV, Sadia now embarks on a new career phase by joining the esteemed team at GNN.
Sadia Sarwar’s journey is marked by a continual quest for growth, learning, and embracing diverse experiences, and her move to GNN undoubtedly signals her commitment to further excel in the field of news anchoring.
