Famous TV anchor, after staying away from news media of Pakistan, Sana Bucha has rejoin Geo News. Recently, Sana Bucha has joined Geo News as Executive Director Special Projects. As per sources Sana will soon start her new show on Geo News and initial arrangements for that have already completed. Sana Bucha disappeared from the screen before General Elections 2013.
Sana Bucha completed her education in Political Science from King’s College London, and started her journalism career as Associate Producer from Geo News and then became Producer of Geo News English Bulletin. Later, she hosted and directed the current affairs program Crisis Cell and later on moved to host the program Lekin, on Geo News.
Sana Bucha covered many local and international news stories and discussed diverse political and social issues in her both programs. She had been also confronted criticism for ostensibly being impartial from different political and religious parties such as Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, when PTI claimed that her show was in the favour of PML (N). Sana Bucha exposed the media cell of PTI and showed coarse language used by the supporters against her.
In the early 2012, Sana Bucha resigned from Geo News after hiring of Aamir Liaquat Hussain as Vice President of the channel, but later on she returned to the channel to left Geo News again after her conflict with the management of the channel on some issues and joined Dunya News.
At Dunya News, Sana hosted the show “Yaqeen”, however, before 2013 General Elections, she left the channel and tweeted:
This elections in Pak, every1 – channel and anchor – is up for sale. I refuse to put a price tag on myself. Left Dunya of my own free will.

Sana Bucha had been working on the film production side for last two years and had successfully completed numerous documentaries and film projects. She had also acted in an imminent Pakistani film “Yalghaar”, where she is playing role of a news reporter.
It is pertinent that Sana Bucha’s husband, Khurram Qadeer Baig is already working in Geo News as Director Corporate Affairs.
