GNN news anchor and TV host Uzman Nauman talks about her inspirations in the media and who she considers as a rival.

“When I started my career, I was very impressed with Sana Tariq, she used to do sports news in those days. Sana Mirza is another news and TV anchor who I really liked her husky voice and her conduct on-screen. Nida Sameer has always inspired me a lot,” said Uzma Nauman.

“My dear friend, Ayesha Naz is someone among the current lot who inspires me. The best thing about Ayesha Naz is that she is very outspoken and smart-mouth. It is an ideal combination for a TV anchor,” said Uzma Nauman.

Talking about rivalry, Uzma said, “It is not in my nature to get into competition and consider anyone as my rival. Another factor is that in our media industry it can go wrong and ugly no matter how healthy your intentions were.”

Uzma Nauman is based in Lahore and is currently associated with GNN. She holds a degree in psychology and is associated with the media industry for the last 13 years. In past, she has worked with Express News, Waqt News, and Dunya News.

Her claim to fame is shows like, Khabar Yeh Hai (Dunya News), Ikhtlafi Note (Dunya News), Think Tank (Dunya News), Live with Dr. Shahid Masood (GNN), and Taron Sey Karen Batain (GNN).
