News anchor and TV host Sarah Ilyas has joined Geo News. She left Public News and moved to Karachi to join Jang Geo Group. This would be second stint of Sarah with the group.
While speaking to MediaSpring Pk, Sarah said:
“Moving to a new city in these challenging times is not easy. But I must say that team Geo News and my colleagues here have made it easier. It feels like home and everybody is so cooperative n welcoming. I am looking forward to excel more and make the best use of my potential and the platform.“
Sarah holds a degree in mass communication from Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore. She started her career as an intern at Dunya News in 2011 and later worked at at Kohenoor TV as a news anchor and TV host for two years.
In 2013 Sarah joined newly launched Geo Tez. She took a break from media and returned to screen in 2018 with Public News. She was part of the launching team of the channel. Sarah was not only the face of channel’s news anchoring team but also she hosted various shows and transmissions for Public News.
Earlier this month Sarah left Public News and Lahore to join Geo News in Karachi.
