Sarah Khan, Falak Shabbir, Kubra Khan, Imran Ashraf, Hareem Farooq, Hania Amir and Rosy Gabriele Strut Down The Ramp On Day Two Of The Hum Bridal Couture Week 2021

After the glamorous showcase on Day One, Day Two of the bridal extravaganza was a continuation of the glitz and bridal statements with the country’s acclaimed couturiers, bridal wear designers and retail brands. As always PHBCW left its audience stunned with its majestic stage, uniquely set in white hues for a one of kind fashion show. The day’s proceedings started with Emraan Rajput revealing his new luxe menswear collection Slate followed by Fatima Salamat’s Kelaya, made with finest organza and chiffons. Arooj Aziz’s collection Gulbadan inspired by the daughter of Mughal emperor Babur’s daughter Gulbadan Begumwas next in line. Show one ended with Rizwan Ahmed’s Leyla which was a celebration of love and beautiful bond of marriage.

Day two show two, started off with Umsha by Uzma Babar’s Heer, followed by Edge Republic’s collection Tehzeeb that represented South Asian culture. Hiba Asim showcased next with their collection Mitti Dae Rung. Next in line was Mina Kashif’s Khat-e-Ishq collection that is an ode to the emotions and experiences of true love, followed by the finale for the day featuring Humayun Alamgir’s collection Shah Savaar that narrated the richness and royalty of a man.

 

Emraan Rajput – Slate

Slate by Emraan Rajput isn’t just a statement it’s a canvas of life. It’s where quality meets luxury and a discerning soul chooses to be draped in the finest Italian fabrics. The collection is for any formal occasion in select silhouettes of three piece suiting which serves any formal or casual occasion. From summery styles to black tie affairs, the collection offers pure elegance with that strong ER touch like a cherry on top. The power house actor Imran Ashraf walked for Emraan Rajput whereas singer Bilal Saeed performed during his showcase.

 

Fatima Salamat – Kelaya

 

Kelaya, features a tale of a woman, who is in pursuit of finding the hidden mysteries of a magical garden that she once saw in her dream. The collection presents a wide array of luxury formal made with finest organza and chiffon embellished with meticulously embroidered tilla and threadwork. The collection is an expression of rejoice, contentment and celebration. Sarah Khan and her husband Falak Shabbir sashayed down the ramp for Fatima Salamat.

 

Arooj Aziz – Gulbadan

The collection is inspired by Gulbadan Begum, the daughter of Mughal emperor Babur, one of the most popular female Mughal royals. She was the first female in Mughal royalties to write her own book – Humayun Nama. She was a strong and independent woman of her era. The collection features beautiful and intricate architectural and calligraphic motifs with detailed hand embroidery. The colour palette of the collection is a blend of beautiful pastels and fluorescent dark colours. The silhouettes are contemporary and trendy, keeping the royal ambience alive. Kubra Khan walked for Arooj Aziz.

 

 

Rizwan Ahmed – Leyla

Rizwan Ahmed’s collection is a celebration of love and the beautiful bond of marriage. The collection is inspired by the various wedding festivities, the emotions these festivities depict along with nature. From marigold to ubtan, motia to rose petals, colourful shamiyanas to kaanch ki chooriyan and from dandiya to dholak. From decorated mehndi ke thaals to ruksati songs. Zubab Rana and Jabir Abbas showstopped for Rizwan Ahmed.

Edge Republic – Tehzeeb

 

The word Tehzeeb means culture and that is what Edge Republic has brought to the ramp with their collection which is minimalist but presents a detailed South Asian culture that draws one’s focus to the true eastern art. The collection presents proficient, elegant and truly royal range of male contour wear. Actors Fahad Sheikh, Yasir Shah and Saim Ali and singer Wajih Farooqui walked the ramp for Edge Republic.

 

Hiba Asim – Mitti dae rung

Hiba Asim’s collection takes its inspiration from the character of land that is reflected in the attitudes, sensibilities and aesthetics of its denizens and is deeply ingrained into the collective subconscious. The international vlogger and biker Rosy Gabrielle walked for Hiba Asim.

 

Mina Kashif – Khat-e-Ishq

Mina Kashif’s collection is an ode to the emotions and experiences of unheard and unspoken true love. The collection features exquisite outfits with adda work, heavy embellishment and hand embroidery with a colour palette of light pastel and dark shades. The stunning Hareem Farooq walked for Mina Kashif.

Humayun Alamgir – Shah Savaar

 

It narrates the richness and royalty of a man. The portrayal of attire elegance through embroidery and splash of cut danas on modern designed sherwanis. The contrast of sherwani colours varied over embossed on velvet fabric to enhance the spark of embroidery for the season 21-22. The youth icons Arsalan Naseer CBA and Danyal Zafar along with actor Affan Waheed walked for Humayun Alamgir.

Choreographer for PHBCW 2021 is Salwa Rafique and HUM Special Projects and Events Team, while hair and makeup is by NPro and NGents. The red-carpet hosts for PHBCW 21 are Armala Hasan and Hira Tareen. Arsalan Ihsan is the emcee for the event and DJ Moazzam presented the music for the shows. Backstage is managed by Salwa Rafique and her team in lieu with the team at HUM Special Projects and Ahsan Qureshy is the official photographer. All public relations operations and media liaison are carried out by Moiz Kazmi and his team at MK Digital PR and the in-house PR team of HUM Network Limited along with show production and execution by the Special Projects and Events team at HUM Network Limited.
