While talking to MediaSpringPk about her return to the screen and joining Samaa, Sehrish said:

It feels so good to be back on screen and it is also good to be back on Samaa, a channel I regard as my mother organization. Everything and everyone here is so familiar to me, it is like a homecoming. I have to say that journalism is like addiction, once you get a knack of staying updated with current affairs, national issues, and politics and get interested in reporting it then it becomes a habit that you can not leave easily. When I was on my break from the screen, I absolutely missed it and realized that how much I love keeping myself updated with national news and current affairs. It is like once you get a deeper knowledge of national affairs then your curiosity to know and understand more increases, and that is something that keeps you interested and thrilled. Hence, I wanted to enjoy my work again and enjoy being a news anchor all over again.
