Pakistan’s pace bowling sensation, Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will now captain Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars, has pledged to take the team ahead and perform his best, both in bowling and captaining.

Shaheen Afridi has been named the Lahore Qalandars’ captain for the PSL’s seventh season.

On Tuesday, the star bowler told Geo News that his side has strong openers and a strong middle order.

According to Shaheen, fast bowlers such as Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have previously served as national squad captains.

He stated that he has always been treated with respect by the Lahore Qalandars and has made an effort to contribute to the team’s success.

While expressing gratitude to the organisation, Shaheen stated: “It’s an honour for me to be captaining the team with which I started the PSL.”

” What a humbling journey.”

Shaheen took to Twitter to express gratitude to Atif Rana, the CEO of Lahore Qalandars, and other officials for providing him with the opportunity.

Shaheen previously stated that he looks forward to captaining the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League if given the opportunity.

During a virtual press conference, he lauded the management of Lahore Qalandars, calling it “exceptionally good.”

“It’s an honour to perform for the Qalandars of Lahore.

I’ve been playing with them for several years,” He stated.
