Shaheen Afridi Sends Strong Message on Social Media Following T20I Captaincy Removal

In a recent development, Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has sparked speculation with his latest social media post, indicating a potential displeasure after being removed as the T20I skipper.

A short video uploaded to his Instagram story suggests a simmering aggression within Afridi, with a message that reads, “Never ever put me in a situation where I have to show you how ruthless I can be. Don’t test my patience, because I might be the kindest and sweetest person you have ever met, but once I reach my limit, you will see me do the things that no one even thought I was capable of doing.”

This cryptic post has led fans and cricket enthusiasts to speculate that Afridi may not be pleased with the decision-makers behind his removal from the team’s leadership role.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on March 29th that Babar Azam would take over as Pakistan’s white-ball skipper ahead of the T20I series against New Zealand, set to commence on April 18th.

Initially appointed as the team’s T20 captain following Babar Azam’s resignation in November 2023 due to the team’s poor performance in the ODI World Cup and 2023 Asia Cup, Afridi’s removal from the captaincy role seems to have sparked discontent.

As Afridi’s social media post continues to circulate, fans eagerly await further developments and clarifications regarding his sentiments.
