Cricket fans around the world have reason to rejoice as the Canadian Men’s T20 tournament returns after a three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The highly anticipated tournament will take place at the Brampton Sports Park from July 20th to August 6th, 2023. Featuring six franchises, the tournament will showcase the talents of 16 players from various full and associate nations. Each team will consist of two world-renowned marquee players, three members of the Canadian National team, and three emerging Canadian cricketers. Over the course of 18 days, a total of 25 matches will be played, promising non-stop excitement for cricket enthusiasts.
The Global T20 tournament has previously witnessed the participation of cricket legends such as Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh, Lasith Malinga, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, David Warner, Steve Smith, Brendon McCullum, and Thisara Perera. Additionally, esteemed mentors including Wasim Akram, Brian Lara, and Mahela Jayawardene have shared their wisdom and guidance.
