The fourth round of the President’s Trophy Grade-I delivered thrilling contests, headlined by remarkable individual performances. From Shamyl Hussain’s record-breaking double century to Sameen Gul’s fiery spell and Saifullah Bangash’s gritty century, the competition unfolded in gripping fashion across Karachi.

Match 14 – PTV won by an innings and 88 runs against Eshaal Associates

At the NBP Sports Complex, Pakistan Television (PTV) registered a resounding innings-and-88-run victory over Eshaal Associates, thanks to Shamyl Hussain’s sensational knock of 229 off 274 balls. The young opener smashed 29 boundaries and four sixes, crafting a masterclass in batting. His 163-run partnership with Muhammad Shahzad (104) for the seventh wicket ensured PTV dominated proceedings, declaring at 531 for nine. Eshaal Associates’ resistance in the second innings saw Abdul Wahid Bangalzai (86) and Azan Awais (82) fight valiantly, but left-arm spinner Faisal Akram’s seven-wicket haul (7-93) sealed the emphatic win for PTV.

Match 16 – Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) beat Ghani Glass by 52 runs 

Meanwhile, at the UBL Sports Complex, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) secured a dramatic 52-run win over Ghani Glass. The match was a fast-bowler’s delight as Sameen Gul ripped through OGDCL’s first innings with figures of 5-14. However, OGDCL clawed their way back, thanks to a disciplined bowling performance. Mohammad Huzaifa (6-33) and Mohammad Amir Khan (3-38) skittled Ghani Glass for 149 in pursuit of 202, ensuring OGDCL walked away victorious.

Match 13 – Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) beat Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) by four wickets

At the State Bank Stadium, SNGPL’s Saifullah Bangash fought against the tide, scoring a resilient 111 not out in the first innings and adding a crucial 62 in the second. But Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) remained in control, restricting SNGPL to 152 in their second innings. Chasing 207, KRL were poised at 81 for three at stumps, with Israrullah unbeaten on 38, keeping hopes alive for a chase on the final day.

Match 15 – State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) beat Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) by one wicket 

Over at the KCCA Stadium, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) took control over WAPDA, courtesy of skipper Umar Amin’s elegant 136. In response to WAPDA’s 250, SBP piled up 347, gaining a crucial 97-run lead. WAPDA’s second innings saw another resilient knock from captain Khalid Usman (78), helping set a target of 145 for SBP, who produced a thrilling chase on  final day.
