Sheherbano Awan Selected for 14th National Media Workshop at NDU

Sheherbano Awan, a prominent figure in Pakistan’s media landscape, has been selected to participate in the 14th National Media Workshop organized by the Institute for Strategic Studies, Research and Analysis (ISSRA) in collaboration with theInter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The workshop is currently underway at the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad.

Sheherbano, currently hosting the morning show “Suno Pakistan” on Suno News, brings a wealth of experience to the workshop. Her career in journalism spans multiple major news channels, including Samaa, 92 News, and City News Network, where she has served as a news anchor.

In addition to her extensive experience in the media industry, Sheherbano holds an MS in Mass Communications and Media Studies from the University of Gujrat, a background that adds academic rigor to her practical expertise. Her selection for this prestigious workshop underscores her growing influence and the recognition of her contributions to Pakistan’s media landscape.

Speaking about her selection, Sheherbano said, “Being part of the National Media Workshop is a significant milestone in my career. It’s an incredible opportunity to deepen my understanding of national security issues and strategic communication, and I look forward to bringing these insights back to my work in media.”

The National Media Workshop, a flagship program of NDU, aims to equip media professionals with a deeper understanding of national security issues and strategic communication. It brings together a select group of journalists, media professionals, and communication experts from across the country to discuss and learn about the evolving dynamics of media in national and global contexts.

Sheherbano’s participation in the workshop is expected to further enhance her skills and contribute to her role as a leading voice in Pakistani media.
