Sir Alastair Cook Joins Star-Studded Commentary Panel for PSL 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a star-packed commentary panel for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), featuring legendary former England Test captain Sir Alastair Cook, who will make his PSL debut behind the microphone.

Global Commentary Lineup Announced

Cook, one of England’s greatest opening batters, will be joined by an elite group of international voices, including:

  • Mark Nicholas (Former MCC President & renowned broadcaster)
  • Dominic Cork & Mark Butcher (Former England cricketers)
  • JP Duminy & Mike Haysman (South Africa)
  • Lisa Sthalekar (Two-time ICC Women’s World Cup winner, Australia)
  • Athar Ali Khan (Bangladesh)
  • Martin Guptill (New Zealand)

Pakistani Legends Take the Mic

Leading the local contingent are four former Pakistan Test captains:

  • Wasim Akram (PCB & ICC Hall of Famer)
  • Waqar Younis (PCB & ICC Hall of Famer)
  • Ramiz Raja (Ex-PCB Chairman)
  • Aamir Sohail

They will be supported by Bazid Khan, Urooj Mumtaz (ex-Pakistan women’s captain), and analyst Sikander Bakht.

Historic First: Full Urdu Commentary

In a landmark move, PSL 2025 will feature a full match broadcast in Urdu for the first time. The dedicated panel includes:

  • Ali Younis, Aqeel Samar, Marina Iqbal, Salman Butt, Tariq Saeed

  • Zainab Abbas (Pakistan)
