Dynamic news anchor and TV presenter, social media content creator, influencer and blogger, Ali Arif has added another feather to his hat with hosting road show of City 42. Ali Arif hosted News Night airs from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm to 9 pm.
While this is not the first hosting stint of Ali, but this is going to be his first stint of hosting social and political issues based road show. The show, News Night, has previously been hosted by Najam Wali, Rehan Tariq and Ainee Hashmi.
Man of many talents, producer turned TV anchor, Ali Arif while speaking to MediaSpring PK said:
“Besides doing news anchoring on the national TV with 24 News, I have taken up this role with City42’s show News Night to highlight various issues city of Lahore is facing. It is a unique experience to see the problems first hand, highlight the reaction of public and discussing the matter with government officials and authorities. Basically. I am trying to play my role to bring problems of Lahore to the knowledge of those who can solve them. Because solution to every problem comes only if we realize a problem and highlight it.”
Hailing from Lahore, Ali Arif is a graduate from the Punjab University, and started his career while studying as an intern NLE at Royal News. He also worked as a producer at Royal News, Channel 5, and Waqt News.
His shot to fame happened when he joined Dunya News where he worked as a packages producer as well as producer of Cricket Deewangi. Ali made his hosting debut with The Sports Show, he was also producer of the show. He was also selected as a news anchor for Dunya News because of his show.
From Dunya News he moved to Karachi to join Samaa as a news anchor and TV presenter. For two year Ali Arif worked at Samaa where he was not only the face of the news anchoring team but also hosted various shows and transmissions.
Ali moved back to Lahore and joined City News Network in 2018, and has been part of the network since as news anchor of 24 News.
