Nadeem Baig directorial drama Meray Pass Tum Ho is all the rage these days and star cast of the show Ayeza Khan, Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddique are being praised for their work along with the writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar.
The drama has a somewhat unconventional female protagonist, therefore, viewers are raising questions on social media about the portrayal of Mehwish by Ayeza Khan.
After Yarian this is second TV play in a row for Ayeza Khan where she is being seen in a negative or in an unconventional main female lead role. This is something Ayeza Khan is not known for since it has always been the typical girl next door or a standard positive main lead.
The credit must be given to Ayeza Khan for pulling out this role of Mehwish so well that audiences started to love to hate this very character, in short, TOP JOB AYEZA!
However, an entertainment portal today revealed that Ayeza was not the first choice for this role. According to this entertainment portal:
Interestingly enough another actress was approached for this role as well. As per our credible sources, actress Sonya Hussyn was approached for the role of Mehwish in Meray Pass Tum Ho. The Ishq Zahe Naseeb actress declined the role terming it to be a highly negative portrayal of women. It seems that the actress was hesitant to do the role as it would garner a lot of backlash from the audiences, which to some extent did happen.
