The special committee to investigate the poor performance in ICC World T20 conducted a meeting a meeting today at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Shakil Shaikh, and it was attended by the members of the commitee – Mr. Subhan Ahmad (Chief Operating Officer, PCB), Mr. Iqbal Qasim (Former Test Cricketer), and Mr. Salman Naseer (Sr. Manager Legal Affairs, PCB).

National team manager Intikhab Alam, chief selector Haroon Rasheed, selector Azhar Khan, Head Coach Waqar Younis appeared before the committee. They presented their views pertaining to the causes of poor performance in Asia Cup and ICC World T20. Committee will formulate its recommendations within next two days for onward submission to Chairman PCB.

The committee also invited Aamer Nazir for his independent point of view regarding the poor performance of the national team in Asia Cup and ICC World T20.

The committee had already solicited views of eminent cricketers, Rashid Latif and Mohammad Wasim. The committee will invite Mohammad Yousuf and Jalal-ud-Din for their expert opinion tomorrow.

 

Shahid Afridi will give his views telephonically tomorrow from Karachi.
