Lahore witnessed a breathtaking inauguration of the 21st HUM Bridal Couture Week at the esteemed Pearl Continental Hotel on December 15th, 2023. The event’s first day set a high standard for the week ahead, showcasing an exquisite blend of glamour, creativity, and groundbreaking designs that redefined contemporary fashion trends.
Renowned designers took center stage, enthralling the audience with their innovative collections. The FAHAD HUSSAYN SOLO SHOW made a bold statement, challenging cultural norms and celebrating shared histories amidst a changing landscape. Showstoppers Zawiyar Noman, Mehwish Hayat, Justin Bibis, Ghazi Taimoor, Rishm Faiz Bhutta, and Adnan Dhool set the ramp on fire for Fahad Hussayn’s show, presenting “THE COLLATERAL CONVENTION”—a tribute to 15 years of fashion excellence. This collection intricately wove together traditions with contemporary wedding culture, showcasing luxurious embroideries and reimagined indigenous designs.
The day continued to dazzle as Harris Shakeel and Atif Iqbal unveiled their bridal collections. Saboor Aly graced the ramp for Harris Shakeel, exuding elegance, while Imran Ashraf and Abdullah Muzaffar adorned Atif Iqbal’s designs, encapsulating timeless tradition and allure.
Arif Ashraf’s “Inteezar” collection captured the essence of anticipation and enduring tradition, culminating in a mesmerizing display featuring showstopper Komal Meer.
Kashees’ collection saw Junaid Niazi, Tooba Amir, Laiba, Javeria Saud, Shaista Lodhi, and Neelam Muneer strutting the runway, epitomizing elegance and grace.
Ahsan Nazir’s “Embroidered Romance” paid homage to Persian geometric patterns and Multan’s architectural marvels, with Resham gracing the ramp in intricate designs inspired by chintz patterns.
Komal Chawla’s “Rang Diyan Zanjiran” carried a strong social message, celebrating diverse complexions and advocating hard work over obstacles. Celebrity showstoppers Kinza Hashmi and Feroze Khan illuminated the runway, embodying the collection’s message.
The day also witnessed the brilliance of designers like Shazia Kiyani and Almirah, who seamlessly merged tradition with modern aesthetics, with Dur E Fishan and Emmad Irfani stealing the spotlight as showstoppers.
