Tamasha and Trans Group FZE Win Live-Streaming Rights for Pakistan Cricket Series

In a significant development for cricket fans across Pakistan, the consortium of Tamasha and Trans Group FZE has secured the live-streaming rights for the upcoming home T20I series against New Zealand and the women’s home series against West Indies. This includes five T20Is and three ODIs.

The successful bid by Tamasha and Trans Group FZE emerged victorious in a competitive public bidding process that also saw participation from prominent entities like ARY Group, Tower Sports, and Tapmad.

These streaming rights are specifically designated for viewership within Pakistan and promise to offer enhanced quality streaming experiences for cricket enthusiasts. Notably, the rights for the upcoming five-match home T20I series against New Zealand have seen a remarkable 94 per cent increase compared to the previous home series against the same opposition in 2023.

Expressing his delight at the outcome, PCB COO Salman Naseer remarked, “The increase in the value of international home series rights for the Pakistan region highlights the solid market interest which stems from hosting various international teams.”

Naseer also congratulated the successful bidders and expressed gratitude to the Tamasha and Trans Group FZE consortium for their commitment and support towards Pakistan cricket.

Trans Group COO Rao Usman Hashim Khan expressed pride in acquiring the live-streaming rights, emphasizing Trans Group’s dedication to enhancing the commercial potential of cricket rights in collaboration with the PCB.

Meanwhile, Jazz Chief Digital Officer Aamer Ejaz highlighted the significance of securing digital streaming rights, affirming their commitment to making cricket accessible to fans across Pakistan through their partnership with Trans Group.

With cricket being a cornerstone of cultural and sporting significance in the region, the acquisition of these streaming rights represents a significant step in catering to the evolving preferences of cricket enthusiasts and amplifying the overall interest in the sport.
