The Fundraisers held their signature annual Bargain Basement Sale on Sunday 4th of December 2022 at Luxus Grand Hotel, at 4 Egerton Road, Lahore. This year’s #BBS22 raised over ELEVEN MILLION for charity.
This year all the proceeds from the sale will benefit the following six charities working for education, healthcare and flood relief : (i) RS Foundation – for education of the underprivileged; (ii) Pink Ribbon Pakistan – for breast cancer treatment; (iii) Lahore Hospital Welfare Society – for the Shams Shahabuddin Convalescent Home; (iv) Sab Saath – for flood relief work (v) Mama Baby Fund – for infant and maternal health; and (vi) The Giving Tree Foundation – for cancer patient care. The premium tier sponsor for the event was Kinetic; with Sapphire and Luxus Grand Hotel Lahore as the tier 2 sponsors this year. Other event partners included Daewoo as the logistics partner, LumenSoft as the tech partner, Easy Tickets by Dukaan as the ticketing partner, City FM 89 as the radio partner, with PR being provided by Lotus Client Management and Public Relations.
This year’s annual sale brought together over 200 leading Pakistani brands of the best fashion and lifestyle categories under one roof. All brands generously donated items sold at the event at 50% off their retail value. Clothing items ranged from high-end couture, bridals, semi-formal and prêt-à-porter along with beautiful jewellery pieces, art, home accessories and furniture. The popular BBS Vintage Section pulled in a big crowd and this year’s sale was fabulously filled with brand new or pre-loved and gently worn designer items by Gucci, Burberry, Prada and Louis Vuitton. Moreover, scrumptious goodies lied in wait for shoppers at the BBS Baked Goods Stall that featured the best bakeries of Lahore; and artwork from a wide array of leading artists of Pakistan including Mohsin Sheikh, Shazly Khan, Hussain Chandio, Faiza Sheikh, Farhan Manto and more.
The BBS Grand Raffle was additionally on form with several extraordinary prizes that included a weekend complimentary stay at Hindukush Heights in Chitral, a Super Asia washing machine, vouchers at top restaurants like Amu’s, Fred’s and Paolas Cosa Nostra; weekend complimentary stays at Pasha’s Murree, Ambiance Hotel Lahore and Luxus Grand Hotel Lahore; an annual subscription to Destinations Magazine, along with an array of high-value restaurant and salon vouchers. An annual Auction was also held, where people had the unique opportunity to bid on and purchase a vintage Sabyasachi sari along with a three day stay at the exclusive Luxus Attabad in Hunza; plus, stunning works of art by Pakistan’s leading artists aforementioned.
