The madness continues in Deewangi’s latest episode

Deewangi is one of the most keenly watched dramas these days. Fans and admirers of the show continue to shower all their love and attention towards the show as it aired its eighteenth episode last night. As always, the latest episode was full of exciting turns as things continued to worsen for our central characters.

Continuing from the last episode, Haroon has confessed his love for Narmeen and tells her he wants to marry her. Somewhat taken aback because of his proposal, Nageen agrees to go with him since she has nowhere else to go, after being thrown out of her phuppo’s house.

As Nageen had expected, Haroon’s mother doesn’t welcome her. She tells Haroon that she doesn’t want to have a girl like Nageen in her house who has no one in the name of family and is a complete stranger. Haroon tells his mother that she is a nice girl, and he wants to marry her. His mother says nice and respectful girls do not scurry along the roads in the middle of the night from one place to another. She refuses to accept Nageen as her daughter in law.

Nageen hears everything and lies awake the entire night. Realizing it is time for Fajr prayers, she steps out of the room and offers her prayers when she finds a prayer mat. Haroon’s mother sees her praying and tells Nageen to stop putting a show of how noble she is. She flatly tells her that she will never get her son married to her.

Nageen tells Haroon she won’t marry him and walks out of the house. He tries to stop her, but she tells him his mother has a lot of dreams for him, and she would want to get him married to the best girl that she can find for him. She tells him she doesn’t want to marry him when Haroon’s mother is so strictly against it.

Nageen finds shelter when she enrolls herself in Daar-ul-amaan, a place for women with no families and no means to support themselves. Nageen’s sister tells her that their phuppo is talking ill about her in their family. She tells Nageen to marry Haroon, or she won’t ever speak to her again.

On the other hand, a pregnant Narmeen leaves Sultan’s place because she is tired of his indifference and silence. After Narmeen leaves, Sultan’s grandmother asks him to bring her home. He refuses to bring her back because she is an immature girl who just wants him to sit in front of her and sing her praises.

Sultan decides he wants to apologize to Nageen. That’s the only way he will be at peace. He asks around for her but to no avail.

On the other hand, Nageen gets a promotion at her work, and Haroon brings her sweets because he wants to celebrate the fact that she is now in his department. Nageen remains indifferent to which Haroon assures her that he will convince his mother for their marriage. As we see a confused Nageen deciding what to do now, the story has taken a far more interesting turn. Will Sultan be able to find Nageen and apologize for what has he does, and will Nageen accept Haroon’s proposal? We can’t wait to find out.
