The third day of the National T20 Cup 2023-24 witnessed intense clashes across venues in Karachi, with six exhilarating matches highlighting Group A, Group B, and Group C encounters.
Group A
- Peshawar showcased an incredible display, posting a formidable 158-2 in 13 overs against Quetta at the NBP Sports Complex. Aamer Azmat and Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten half-centuries propelled their team to a commanding 69-run victory.
- Karachi Blues exhibited dominance, restricting Larkana to a mere 61 runs and clinching a comprehensive nine-wicket win within 8.2 overs. Syed Waleed Azeem’s exceptional four-wicket haul led Karachi Blues to a convincing triumph.
Group B
- Lahore Blues triumphed over Karachi Whites by a narrow margin of five runs at the National Bank Stadium. Despite Imran Butt’s half-century, Karachi Whites fell short of the target set by Lahore Blues, who secured a thrilling victory.
- Islamabad overcame a challenging chase against Dera Murad Jamali in a low-scoring affair. Hammad Siddique’s unbeaten half-century guided Islamabad to a hard-fought two-wicket win, clinching the victory on the last ball of the game.
Group C
- At the HPC Oval Ground, Rawalpindi witnessed Zeeshan Malik’s brilliant century, propelling his team to 174-6. Despite Faisalabad’s efforts, they fell short, managing only 147-9, giving Rawalpindi a commanding 27-run victory.
- Abbottabad showcased a commanding performance, chasing down Bahawalpur’s 115-9 with ease in just 13 overs. Fakhar Zaman and Sajjad Ali Jnr starred in Abbottabad’s comfortable seven-wicket win.
