Revenge of the Worthless
ROTW is based on the disorder in Swat valley that started to spread around 40 years ago. Film is directorial debut of Jamal Shah and it reflects on the effect of the revolt in 2009 and how people of Swat decided to retaliate.
The film portrays how militancy effected lives and how they changed cultural narrative with the rise their rise, creating a sense of fear and insecurity. The star cast comprises of Firdous Jamal, Ayub Khoso, Myra Khan, Iftikhar Qaiser, Najeebullah Anjum, Iram Rehman, Tariq Jamal, Qazi Zubair and Imran Tareen, along with Turkish actor Emil Karakose.
Quetta
Storyline of Quetta is carried those who have lived the characters they are playing. Filmmakers Faysal Chaudary and Murtaza Chaudary reveal that Quetta does not involve any commercial elements. The film is written by Faysal, and the story revolves around three children who play around career prospects as of coal mining and football, to earn both bread and satisfaction.
Mahe-eMeer
The movie is based on the life and work of poet Mir Taqi Mir, story follows the scuffle of a present-day poet that how his own journey matches that of the legendary Mir Taqi Mir. Mah-e-Meer features actors Fahad Mustafa, Sanam Saeed, Iman Ali, Manzar Sehbai and Alyy Khan.
Janaan
The film Janaan revolves around a girl who returns from the UK after completing her education. The story amusingly flouts typecasts about Pakhtun families. The romantic comedy, is being co-produced by Reham Khan and it stars Armeena Khan as the female lead.
Janaan is written by Osman Khalid Butt and has directed by Azhar Jafferi. Film is expected to hit screens in April.
Yalghaar
Hassan Waqas Rana, the screenwriter of Waar, is making directorial debut with Yalghaar. The film is based on Pakistani army’s Swat Operation, and it features Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ayub Khosa Ayesha Omer, Umair Jaswal, and Bilal Ashraf.
Vetren singers such as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali and Abida Parveen have lent their voice of the songs of Yalghaar.
Dobara Phir Se
Mehreen Jabbar is shooting her upcoming venture — Dobara Phir Se in New York.
The filmmaker of Ramchand Pakistani is eager to work on this project after several years. Dobara Phir Se stars Adeel Husain, Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed, Tooba Siddiqui, Ali Kazmi, Atiqa Odho, Shaz Khan, and child actor Moosa. Bilal Sami has written the story of the film.
The story turn around love, friendships and growing up. The release date is yet to be announced.
3 Bahadur 2
The extensively popular animated feature film of 2015, 3 Bahadur is now coming back with a sequel.
Voice actors in 3Bahadur Part 2 are Zuhab Khan as Saadi, Hanzala Shahid as Kamil, Bahroze Sabzwari as Deenu, Bassam Shazli as Pateeli and Chatpa, and Hammad Siddiq as Ghutka, Ahmed Ali Butt as Gola, Ali Gul Pir as Teeli and Lolly, Sarwat Gilani as Saadi’s mother, Fahad Mustafa as Imran, Salman Shahid as Baba Balaam, Arisha Razi as Amna, Mustafa Changezi as Tony, and Zeba Shanaz as Parrot.
3Bahadur Part 2 sustains this bequest with an exertion to inspire the children of Pakistan. The film set to release in December 2016.
Maalik
Ashir Azeem’s movie Maalik, targets at teaching people a “sense of ownership” of their country.
The writer and actor has described Maalik as a vigilante film. Maalik is a film that magnets heavily from Azeem’s TV serial Dhuwan about a retired commando establishing his own security agency to bring about change in the country.
