2018 has been a noteworthy year for Pakistani cinema performance. This year 21 films released, a good number of these were projects of good budget and we did notice some improved production quality. This year for the first time in the history of Pakistan our films surpassed the two billion landmark (as per website Boxofficedetail).

Teefa in Trouble
Teefa in Trouble is not only the third biggest hit of the year but also the biggest hit of Ali Zafar’s film career. The film was released in the aftermath of Ali Zafar’s harassment scandal, which did not dent the film much. The comic action flick bagged 33.5 Crores and this is the biggest non-holiday release film business.
The Donkey King
Afzal “Rambo” Khan made the huge comeback to the cinema this time as the king of Pakistani animated movies. Donkey King is the biggest animated hit film of the year. Not just Afzal Khan but also many other big names of Pakistan voiced for the film.
The Donkey King has crossed 22.8 Crores mark thus far.
