The trailer launch event of the upcoming action-drama Pakistani film ‘Chaudhry’ was held on 19th April at Movenpick, Karachi. Supported by the Sindh Police, “Chaudhry” is the first-ever biopic of a martyred Police officer, SSP Chaudhry Aslam Khan (Shaheed), who was also infamously known as “Police Baba” and reputed as the “Encounter Specialist”.
This film highlights the significant incidents of his professional life as well as touching the personal aspects of the late SSP. The movie has an ensemble cast consisting of ASP Tariq Islam, Yasir Hussain, Sana Fakhar, Nawal Saeed, Adnan Shah Tipu, Shamoon Abbasi, Azfer Ali, Saleem Meraj, Arbaz Khan along with others. The movie has been directed by Azeem Sajjad and written by Zeeshan Junaid. Neha Laaj has lead the production of the movie and also codirected the spectacle.
Celebrities started walking the red carpet around 5:30pm, and the trailer of the movie was revealed around 6:00pm. This was followed by the question and answers session with the media. A Qawali from the movie, sung by the maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, was also unveiled after the Iftaar break.

The producer of the movie, Neha Laaj quoted about the necessity of more biopics being made as truer stories are more important along with being impactful. Such movies project a learning perspective while motivating the public towards moral betterment.
The movie is expected to be released all over Pakistan on 27th May, 2022.
