TV anchor and broadcast journalist Ayesha Bakhsh becomes a part of Samaa

One of the most prominent names of broadcast journalism & newscast and former face of GNN, Ayesha Bakhsh has also joined the Samaa. Ayesha Bakhsh will be taking over the host’s seat after a couple of months’ break as she has joined the new channel as the programme host.

Ayesha Bakhsh is an MSc in Communication Sciences from Fatima Jinnah Women’s University Rawalpindi. She started her career in 2006 with ARY One World (now known as ARY News). In January 2008 Ayesha joined Geo News which turned out to be her big break. At Geo News, she was practically the face of the channel’s newscast team for many years.

At Geo News, Ayesha Bakhsh covered live bulletins on many key moments about Pakistan moreover she also hosted various shows and transmissions for the network. Her latest role with the network was hosting the evening news analysis show Report Card which turned out to be the trendsetting show as other channels also followed the format in the timeslot with multi-panelists debating on current affairs issues.

At Geo News, Ayesha also hosted various other popular programs, such as ‘Lekin’ and ‘News Room’ to name a few.

In 2018, Aysha Bakhs became part of GNN where she hosted the hugely popular current affairs programme Face to Face with Ayesha Bakhsh. After conducting various programmes and multiple special transmissions, Ayesha parted ways with GNN earlier this year.

Ayesha Bakhsh will be hosting a show based on expert opinion and analysis on the current affairs and pertinent issues. The new programme of Ayesha Bakhsh is titled as ‘Straight Talk with Ayesha Bakhsh’ and will air on Samma every Monday to Thursday at  7:03 pm.
