Tweet a Meal Campaign by Telenor Pakistan a step to be Sacha Satth for those in need

It is very interesting fact that when it comes to the number of induvial pay their taxes in Pakistan the eventual result is abysmal. However, at the same time, the very same country is known as a generous one where people like to donate a lot. This is perhaps the issue with the trust deficit. Per say if people of Pakistan have trust in a cause they will definitely step ahead and take part in it.

It is just a matter of weeks earlier that we all were enjoying the holy month of Ramazan. A month, which is not only about starving whole day and then gulping every eatable thing after the sun set. The major goal of the whole exercise is bigger than that it is about creating compassion, a sense of understanding pain and plight of others and above all sharing resources with those who are not privileged enough.

During the month of Ramazan Telenor Pakistan in collaboration with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mall launched tweet a meal campaign. We are from the generation of special media and we love to tweet a lot. and it is nearly a sin to not tweet a picture of our food. Moreover, Iftari food is no exception, the idea of this campaign was simply around the exercise which most of us were already doing. Tweeting pictures of our food with just the addition of a hashtag #TweetAMeal. Because of our every tweet Telenor Pakistan donated a meal to the under-privileged ones.

This year Telenor was able to donate 1000 ration bags (one bag for a whole family) in collaboration with the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal in Mithi, Thar. Each ration bag consisted of rice, flour, milk, sugar, pulses, cooking oil, spices, tea & water. With this campaign, Telenor truly lived up to their tagline, which is about being a Sacha Saath for someone in need this Ramazan
