Media and broadcast journalism has seen a boom in last decade and a half and many new faces joined it to make name with their hard work and dedication. Now the time has come that along with the stalwarts of the media the younger lot should also get the due credit.
Renowned news anchor and face of Channel 24, Ume Rubab received High Achievement Award. She was awarded this by University of Management and Technology, Lahore (UMT) department of mass communication.
The Mass Communications Department of UMT held the annual dinner this past week which was attended by the students and alumnus of the institute. The main feature of the evening was the award ceremony where alumnus of Mass Communications department were awarded for their achievement. Ume Rubab is one of the recipient of the award this year.
Ume Rubab did her Masters in Mass Comm and started her journalism career from Waqt News as a news caster, later she hosted a news morning show for the channel too. Currently, she is associated with Channel 24 where she is face of news casting team of the channel.
