Usman Khan: Overcoming Pandemic Setbacks to Pursue Cricket Dreams

Usman Khan, the hard-hitting top-order batsman hailing from Farooqabad (Sheikhupura), shared his journey of resilience and determination amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. In an exclusive interview, Usman reflected on how the pandemic temporarily halted his cricketing progress at a crucial juncture in his career.

Recalling his promising start, Usman reminisced about the recognition he garnered for his talent, particularly after a commendable performance of 81 runs in his solitary match for Quetta Gladiators. However, the onset of the pandemic brought his momentum to a standstill, disrupting his aspirations for further cricketing success.

Undeterred by the obstacles, Usman persevered, juggling his cricketing pursuits with employment as a security guard in the UAE. Despite the challenges, he continued to shine on the cricket field, contributing to his team’s victories in local tournaments and even notching a century in the Bangladesh League.

Usman expressed gratitude to Multan Sultans’ owners and coaches for their unwavering support, acknowledging their faith in his abilities even during periods of struggle.
