VIRSA – A CULINARY JOURNEY FROM AGRA TO KARACHI’ SELLS OUT WITHIN HOURS PRIOR TO LAUNCH

Last weekend international blogger and photographer, Shehar Bano Rizvi officially launched her first cook book, ‘Virsa – A Culinary Journey From Agra To Karachi’. Featuring a wide array of recipes which range from everyday eastern food to more extravagant dishes, the cookbook in itself appears just as authentic as its cuisine. In a recent LIVE Q&A session, Rizvi discussed the accessibility of the book in different regions of the world and the overwhelming response it has gotten. Prior to the formal launch, the first set of copies were completely sold out in Qatar, Canada, and UAE.

After the cookbook was so well received, many people had questions about how they could get a copy for themselves. In the LIVE session, Rizvi disclosed that the book is available in hardcover on the Virsa website, www.virsacookbook.com in Pakistan, Qatar, UAE and USA. However, it will also be available in the UK and Australia, post November 2020. It is also available in Kindle format through Amazon.com. All Canadian readers can pre-book their copies as a few shipments will be made there very soon. All orders in Pakistan are cash on delivery and couriered orders are the same price as the books in store. In the Q & A session when asked how she is coping with a sold-out scene, Rizvi stated that the response was overwhelming and she didn’t anticipate such a positive reaction nor did she expect the books to sell out so quickly.

‘Virsa – A Culinary Journey From Agra To Karachi’ has received an ample amounts of success within days of its launch. All profits made from the book will be donated to LRBT, an NGO directed towards free eye care across Pakistan. Cooking and eating for a good cause?! Can’t wait to hit kitchen after getting our hands on the book!
