SNGPL vs Ghani Glass – Match Drawn
Ghani Glass managed to salvage a draw against SNGPL at the National Bank Stadium by steadfastly batting out the day, losing only four wickets in pursuit of 408. While Kashif Ali and Tayyab Tahir registered sturdy half-centuries, it was Saad Nasim’s resilient unbeaten hundred (105* off 173 balls) that rescued his team. Mohammad Ali spearheaded the bowling attack for SNGPL, clinching four wickets.
KRL vs WAPDA – WAPDA Seals a 48-Run Win
In an intense battle at the UBL Sports Complex, KRL aimed for a chase of 286. However, WAPDA’s Asif Afridi’s four-wicket haul disrupted KRL’s plans. Despite Sarmad Bhatti’s valiant half-century, KRL succumbed, losing six wickets for 69 runs, paving the way for WAPDA’s 48-run triumph.
SBP vs PTV – SBP Clinch Victory by 10 Wickets
SBP’s domineering performance against PTV resulted in a resounding win. Mohammad Abbas led the charge, securing ten wickets across the two innings. Hasan Mohsin and Hasan Nawaz shone for PTV, but their efforts fell short in the face of SBP’s batting prowess, with Zain Abbas amassing a splendid 126.
The President’s Trophy Grade-I second round is set to commence on 22 December across four venues in Karachi, promising more exhilarating clashes among Pakistan’s top domestic teams.
